This vintage gala fulia is from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and is hand embroidered in multiple patterns and decorated in cowrie shells. Gala fulias were originally worn by Banjara women to carry pots on their heads. This particular piece is a remnant from the 1940s and can be used as a decorative textile.
