This vintage chakla was discovered in the region of Gujarat in India and is hand embroidered with silk threads on hand spun cotton, decorated in mirror work. Chaklas were made to adorn the walls of houses and reflect the history and rich textile craftsmanship of India through design, color, and technique. This particular piece was is from the 1960s and like all chaklas made during that time, it is one-of-a-kind.
