The Tawla Dinner Plate is covered in a checkerboard design and made by potters in the Egyptian village of Fayoum. Please allow for slight imperfections as these pieces are crafted by hand.
Fayoum pottery comes from Tunis, a little village perched on top of Lake Qarun in the Oasis of Fayoum. Using an art form that dates back to the Ancient Egyptians, the potters create beautiful objects with drawings inspired by their surroundings such as plants, animals and landscapes.
