Founded in 2004, Malaika is focused on training and employing underprivileged Egyptian women and refugees at their self-funded embroidery school, as well as and working with skilled artisans to create textiles, ceramics, and objects using the finest materials. These Orchard placemats feature pharaonic depictions of trees in complementary colors. Crafted from natural Egyptian cotton and silk screen printed by hand, they are reversible and machine washable.
