Founded in 2004, Malaika is focused on training and employing underprivileged Egyptian women and refugees at their self-funded embroidery school, as well as and working with skilled artisans to create textiles, ceramics, and objects using the finest materials. These Nile Lotus placemats are made with linen and are hand printed with Egyptian-inspired motifs.
