Based in Los Angeles and Lebanon, Kissweh is an embroidery studio focused on designing and creating hand embroidered pillows inspired by the rich folk art of traditional Palestinian needlepoint motifs. Each pillow is made by skilled craftswomen living in the refugee camps of Lebanon, giving them the opportunity to earn a fair living. Founded in 2017 by Claudia Martinez Mansell, Kissweh operates with the goal of being a contemporary source of exquisitely designed and timeless products that draw on the heritage of a historic tradition, while simultaneously providing work to a community of refugee women.
