Miniature Tree Painting No. 8
This collection of miniature tree paintings were made by a miniature painter in Jaipur. Painted on old rice paper in incredibly fine detail using natural pigments, these delicate trees come framed and ready to hang. Indian miniature painting dates back to 750 A.D., originating in Bengal. It became popular during the rule of the Mughal Empire and often depicted the life of Indian royals and gods and goddesses. While traditional miniature painting continues today, there are also many contemporary subjects being painted such as the remarkably beautiful piece.
