Founded in 2004, Malaika is focused on training and employing underprivileged Egyptian women and refugees at their self-funded embroidery school, as well as and working with skilled artisans to create textiles, ceramics, and objects using the finest materials. These placemats are adorned with a repeating flower motif inspired by antique Ottoman samplers and framed with a warm-colored geometric pattern. Crafted from natural Egyptian cotton and silk screen printed by hand, these Ottoman-style placemats are reversible and machine washable. Sold as a set of six.
