French Interior Lithograph – Powder Room
Designed for a bathroom by the late, prominent Art Deco furniture designer and interior decorator, Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, this lithograph and pochoir from 1920 was originally featured in La Gazette du Bon Ton (Journal of Good Tastes). Art directed by Lucien Vogel, it's inscribed, "Salle de Bains, une piscine et lavabos de marbre" which translates to a marble sink and pool for a bathroom. This plate is included in the Cooper Hewitt collection.
